How much area does Wet & Forget Rapid cover?

Every 2 litre pack will automatically mix water from your garden hose to get coverage of 200 square metres in 10 minutes. Some surfaces e.g. painted surfaces will use less but porous surfaces readily absorb the product and therefore coverage could be in the range of 200 square meters.

Can I change the specified ratios given in the instructions?

No. Wet & Forget Rapid Sniper Nozzle is designed to mix the perfect ratio of 'Product to Water' for you everytime regardless of water pressure. It will deliver the perfect solution for all outdoor surfaces from the simplicity of your garden hose.

What outdoor surfaces can Wet & Forget be used on?

Wet & Forget can be used on an extensive range of outdoor surfaces including tarmac, concrete, decking, roof tiles, Artificial Grass, Astroturf, bowling greens, bricks and paving, canvas tents, caravans, static caravans, caravan awnings, motorhomes, conservatories, fibreglass boats, greenhouses, golf greens, limestone, sandstone, marble, outdoor furniture, outdoor pots, outdoor painted surfaces, pool surrounds, shade sails, slate, solar panels, tennis courts, yacht sails.

Should I sweep or wash the surface before applying Wet & Forget?

Ideally, remove any excess debris. We don’t recommend washing the surface prior to application as Wet & Forget must be applied to a dry surface.

When is the best time to apply the product?

On a cool dry windless day, when no rain is expected for 4-5 hours. Often the evening is best when evaporation of the product is minimal. This will ensure that the surface to be treated stays wet with Wet & Forget for an extended period.

Can I paint or stain over Wet & Forget?

Once the surface is clean and dry, you can paint or stain over Wet & Forget. Wet & Forget is great for extending the life of the painted surface as it not only removes moss, mould, lichen and algae, but also the surfactant action helps remove dirt and other residue that could cause fading or chipped paint.

Spraying your outdoor house surfaces annually with Wet & Forget will extend the life of your paint and keep paving looking fresh and new.

How soon after applying Wet & Forget can I start painting?

Thoroughly saturate the surface with Wet & Forget on a cool, dry day. Late in the day is best. Leave the growth to start decomposing for 2-3 weeks (the longer the better!) then prior to painting or staining, gently pressure wash the surface - growth, dirt and residue will come off faster and easier. The surface will also be sterile reducing possible contamination of the new paint with algae and fungi.

Do I have to use it all at once?

No, Wet & Forget is fine if left in the spray container as it does not deteriorate or go off when it has been diluted. Plus it will not damage your garden sprayer as the product is not corrosive.

Will it affect my pets?

Although Wet & Forget doesn’t contain bleach or ammonia we recommend keeping your animals off the treated surface until it is dry, to ensure they don't ingest any of the product. If they accidentally walk or sit in the product wash their feet and bottoms with fresh water as a precaution.

Will it damage my plants?

Not unless you are directly spraying it onto the plants. If you accidentally do this, then rinse the plants down with water from the hose, or better still, protect them with paper or plastic to avoid overspray.

How long is Wet & Forget's shelf life?

Wet & Forget has an unlimited shelf life so it will last forever in its container! Natural light does not damage the efficiency of the product. For safety, always keep the cap on tightly and the container out of reach of children.

How long does Wet & Forget take to work?

How long Wet & Forget takes to work is totally dependent on the intensity of the contamination of mould, algae or lichen. For mild contaminations, results can be seen in days. For more stubborn infestations Wet & Forget can take approximately 2-3 months to see improvements.

In very severe cases of contamination it may take 6-12 months to work. The good news is that when Wet & Forget is used again the following season, the clean up results will occur within weeks!

Will it remove the slime off my timber decks?

Most definitely! But if your deck is older and has never been cleaned, it may be noticeably blackened with the contamination. In this case, it would be advantageous to wait a month after the application of Wet & Forget and give the area a light brush with a broom or scrubbing brush with warm water to remove it. The good news is that you should only have to do this once and then the maintenance becomes so easy.

Can I use Wet & Forget to get moss out of my garden grass?

Absolutely! To remove moss on grass first water the infected area lightly being sure not to saturate the moss. Do this late in the day when the sun is low so that evaporation is kept to a minimum. At worst you may get slight burning on the grass but it will recover very quickly.

Dilute the solution using 7 parts water to 1 part Wet & Forget formula and spot spray the moss. It may take a couple of goes until you have the contaminated areas covered. Give Wet & Forget some time to tackle the moss and then rake the dead moss out.

To help your grass recover from the moss infestation provide the area with garden lime to change the ph levels. If it's early spring or autumn, overseeding and fertilising should do the trick.

How much water should I add to Wet & Forget before application?

Wet & Forget RAPID Application mixes with water automatically for you from the garden hose regardless of the water pressure in your area.
